Ensuring the entire workforce have the right skills, in the right place, at the right time to help our teams fight crime and protect people.
Providing advice to Northants Police, regarding L&D activity and transactional services. To act as (SPOC) for L&D queries from internal, external, and collaborative sources.

You will lead a team of business support officers responsible for the smooth running of all learning and development activity in Northamptonshire Police. From new PCSO's and Police Officers to Crime Investigation, IT, First Aid and Driver Training, there are many disciplines essential to the functioning of the Organisation in its aim to fight crime and protect people, and provide an outstanding policing service to the communities of Northamptonshire.

As Team Leader you will work to the Business Support Manager in maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient and effective processes, producing KPI data and ensuring the provision of a healthy, friendly and professional environment for delegates to learn.

Recruitment and Selection Policy

Internal applicants who are at risk of redundancy or in need of redeployment and pass the selection process, will be offered the role over the remaining internal and external applicants.

Internal applicants must have line manager support prior to proceeding with an application.

Please be aware that the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and Northamptonshire Police are separate employers.  Although Police internal vacancies are open to OPFCC staff and vice versa, if you are successful, the change of employer will require a longer onboarding process and you will receive a new contract and payroll number.  Service with either employer can be carried over as continuous service.

Police Barred and Advisory lists

Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the Police or OPFCC for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
