We are recruiting for suitably qualified Chief Superintendents or Superintendents who are eligible for promotion.

Although Northamptonshire is small in size; due to its location, road and rail networks, this is a county force that faces metropolitan issues on a daily basis.

The challenges the force faces make for excellent an opportunity for a leader aspiring for exposure across all elements of policing, whilst still having the capability to have real influence in decision making and service design and delivery.

Northamptonshire Police now has more officers than it ever has and we have just received a positive HMICFRS inspection report. However, areas to improve were highlighted, especially in relation to investigating crime. We have also recently experienced real challenges that have impacted public confidence in Northamptonshire. Trust and confidence needs to be rebuilt.

We need leaders who have the ability to lift their thinking from operational delivery to strategic vision and the ability to translate that strategic vision to tactical delivery.

You will be passionate about delivering a Police Service which our communities and public are proud of.  You will have an aptitude to maximising the workforce skills and experience to match the changing operational demands.   You will be understanding that the wellbeing of our workforce to enjoy the beauty of Northamptonshire as a place to live and work.

We are committed to equality and diversity and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.  Attached is an informative Force Management Statement and Peel Assessment.

TCC Balhatchet and TACC Tuckley will also be conducting a short MS Teams briefing on 18 April @ 13:00-14:00.

If you wish to attend the briefing and receive a Chief Superintendent pack, please email leadershipdevelopmentteam@northants.police.uk to receive MS Teams link.
