Police officers play a vital role in keeping our communities safe, whether they’re on the streets, working face to face with the public, or behind the scenes.

In a series of evenings, we’re giving you a chance to come along and speak with officers about what it really involves becoming a police officer.

“In addition to the information available on the website we have teamed up with one of the Officers from the Channel 4 series 999 What's your emergency? to offer potential applicants a unique insight into the realities of life as a front-line Response Officer with Northants Police.

With all Student Officers being posted to Response teams after their initial training, this is an opportunity to see if life on the front-line the right challenge for you is.

A light-hearted and informal presentation is followed by a Q&A session, open to those considering a career with Northamptonshire Police.

From the initial steps of the recruitment and training process all the way through to shift patterns, career development, the equipment we carry and how it feels to be first on scene at a life-threatening incident.

The evening is a unique opportunity to ask those questions that really matter to YOU.”
