  • Contribute to the design and development of the forces sports club. Build effective working relationships with external providers and suppliers in order to gain additional benefits to members.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and manage sports club events from inception to completion. Ensure events are well advertised and attended. Support the monitoring and evaluation of initiatives to identify continuous improvement.   
  • Monthly Bookkeeping to ensure sports club membership and Lottery payments are received. Organise the payment of weekly lottery prizes to winning members
  • Preparation of accounts for the sports club and force lottery to present to the auditor.
  • Provide advice and guidance to members on the creation of new sporting and social sections and how to bid for funding.
  • Maintain and update membership records for the sports club and force Lottery. Assist with the weekly lottery draws and prepare regular newsletters to promote sport club events.
  • Maintains and update the sports club website ensuring up to date and relevant information is available. Manages the sports club email inbox as required.
  • Co-ordinates and attends the force and regional meetings relating to the sports club and Police Sport UK. Also participate in any other meetings where representation and input from the sports club is required.
  • Undertake appropriate and timely liaison as required with Unison, the Federation and other Staff Associations and Support Networks in relation to sports club initiatives. 
  • Co-ordinate communication material with Corporate Communications to increase awareness of the sports club and lottery.
